Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions:
Q.  What is your dress code for Sunday Worship?
A.  Feel free to wear what you want. as long as it's thoughtful and non offensive.
Some people come in with their jeans, some with their dresses.

Q.  What is your worship service like?  Contemporary?  Traditional?
A.  It's probably a mix of lots of different things, even some folk, sometimes Asian, sometimes meditative.  Usually the first Sunday of the month, the choir sings, so that might give a more traditional feeling.  We hope you find us "interesting."

Q.  Is your congregation children-friendly?
A.  Yes, we are very children-friendly.  Child care is provided during church service for children under 6 years old or so in the nursery.  Older children and Youth are encouraged to worship with us, and we try to include them in our service through intergenerational services and other activities.

Faith/Mennonite Questions:

Q. What is, or who are "Anabaptist?"

A. (to come...)

Q. Amish and Mennonites are famous for using horse and buggies instead of cars, right?  Do you still use them too?
A.  As far as I know, no one comes to church with their own horse and buggies.  Some walk, some bike, and many drive.  There might be some of us might have relatives who still uses them, but we will have to ask around.

Q. I'm surprised you even have a website.  Aren't Amish and Mennonites supposed to be against technologies?
A. I hope it was a good surprise:)  We do take in the latest development very carefully, but that doesn't mean Amish and Mennonites never change.  Plus, most of us in our current congregation are not from traditional Mennonite families, and thus less hesitation towards using technology - just like regular people.
