       I will have a crazy travel schedule over the Holidays: Bottom line is I will be gone from Christmas day until Monday January 4. I will not be in the office, Wednesday December 30 but will have office hours on Wed January 6 as usual, 2 pm until 6 pm. In case of emergencies please contact Frank Gibson. Many prayers and wishes to you all as you contemplate the magnificent gift that Jesus is this season and for many hopes that the year ahead will be one of joy and peace for each of us and for our world!        We'll celebrate World Communion on Oct. 4, Sunday, so bring a dish inspired by another part of the world to the potluck after church. In fact, feel fre to wear clothing from another part of the world!

       Come one and come all to the inaguaral potluck for the 2009-2010 mid week potluck season for FCMF! Tuesday, September 15 starting promptly at 6:30 pm! Please note that we will be potlucking on Tuesday evenings for a while instead of the historical Wed nights. Please come and bring food to share or come just to eat if your running out of time. "Get potlucky!" as they say!

       Schook Kit Time is Here - WE NEED YOUR HELP School Kits are MCC's most requested item and every year FCMF does our part!! Please find attached the list of School Kit items to buy. I will have a plastic bin at church this Sunday to begin collecting. I've heard that 'Back to School' Sales won't last much longer, so hurry to find the deals. Spiral Notebooks that go for $1, can be found for 10 cents. If you find a deal, let the Fellowship know by email. Check your Sunday papers for specials. We will be putting together the kits in early October, then sending them to the Relief Sale. We will also need to decide if we want to make the bags, or get them from one of the MCC offices. If you have an interest in collecting/buying fabrics and sewing bags, please let me know this as well. The instructions can be found through the weblink below: http://mcc.org/kits/school/ This is a simple project to participate in, but one that makes such a difference. Many of us know what a 'typical' school room looks like in countries like Lao, Cambodia, etc - and the total lack of supplies for both teachers and students. We Can Make A Difference!!!        Sunday, May 31 will be an opportunity to recognize persons joining the membership of the fellowship. There is also an invitation for those who are not ready to join who might like to express a “journey blessing” of becoming a “friend” or participant in the fellowship. Please let Steve know if it might be time in your journey for either of these steps.

       Please join us for this special now-annual spring worship at Lory State Park. There will be lots of singing, sharing encouraging words, eating great food, and fun! BYO potluck, placesettings, and fun to share! We suggest carpools especially since there is an entrance fee – Maurice is the point person for carpools to meet at church to leave promptly at 10:00 AM. No Sunday School May 24.

       If you want to learn everything there is to know about Mennonites and our Anabaptist Beliefs (secret dumpling recipes, how we are different than the Amish and more) then I've got the class for you! Even if you already know a lot about Mennonites but want more then please join us. Class has begun and will run for about 5 weeks on Sundays at 9:30 AM. Let Steve know if you interested.
